Sirius Electronic 3RW Motor Soft Starters are designed for simple starting conditions.In the event of a larger starting load or an increased start/stop frequency, a product with a larger rating may be required.The 3RW52 soft starter can be used in isolated power grids (IT systems) up to 600 V AC, and the 3RW55 soft starter can be used in isolated power grids up to 690 V.

When the starting time is long, it is recommended to use PTC sensor or temperature switch in the motor.The same is true for torque control, pump stop, and DC brake stop modes, as there is an additional current load compared to inertia deceleration during the stop time in these modes.

The use of capacitive components between the Sirius 3RW soft starter and the motor within the motor feeder is not permitted (i.e., no reactive power compensation devices are allowed).In addition, neither the static system for reactive power compensation nor the dynamic PFC (power factor correction) can operate in parallel at startup and soft starter ramp.This is important to prevent failure of the compensation equipment and/or soft starter.Siemens 3RW soft starter supplier

All components of the main circuit (such as fuses and controllers) should be selected accordingly for direct starting during loading short circuit.Fuses and breakers must be ordered separately.The harmonic component load for the starting current must be considered when selecting the motor starting protection (selecting the trip).Please comply with the maximum switching frequency specified in the technical data.
